Superbaby proved that he is mighty and took his first steps this morning, right after we finished opening presents. Dashing Husband held out his hands and called his name, and Superbaby just up and walked over to his father. Then Dashing Husband and I dropped dead. [Ed. note: Superbaby is two days shy of his 10-month birthday. Yeah.]
The three tottering steps my baby took this morning round out this year's Trifecta of Ultimate Parenting Moments: 1. Gus learned to ride a bike without training wheels. 2. Gus read me a book. 3. Superbaby took his first steps on Christmas morning. Sorry, Will, you don't make the Trifecta this year. You can just add it to your list of injustices you suffer as the middle child.
Anyway, Merry Christmas everyone. I hope your day was as lovely as mine.
Beautiful!

OH MY GOD! that's amazing! what a lovely list of christmas presents.
also totally amazing, and should be noted in the trifecta, is that you captured the moment of first steps on film. woohoo!

SERIOUSLY, said middle child stopped crapping his pants...and we all figured he would be the first child in kindergarten still wearing pull ups...how does that NOT make the trifecta?

Superbaby just made it impossible for the rest of fat babies to use the "I'm too chubby" excuse when they can't walk before they're 15 months old.

At least he's living up to his name. Could be damaging to his psyche otherwise.

The only thing missing were some pink bunny pajamas.
