I won an award. Because, let's face it, I kind of rule. Despite the fact that my attempts at blogging this year have been half-ass, Kelly over at Heathen Family Revival gave it to me anyway. The Kreativ Blogger Award is my very first. Thanks, Kelly!
All I have to do is list 7 things I love and then pass this award on to 7 bloggers I love. So, first things first.
7 Things I Love (I'm leaving out the obvious ones here, like my family and my cat, just for the sake of making this interesting):
1. Ben Folds. I have tickets to see him on April 4th, and I can't wait to live my geeky fangirl fantasies at an actual concert. Oh yes, I WILL be buying a t-shirt. And a CD. And a bumper sticker. And a souvenier mug. I LOVE YOU BEN! <squeal>
2. Roald Dahl books. Just the right amount of creepy and comedy. My favorite is Charlie and The Chocolate Factory.
3. The Soup. If you aren't watching Joel McHale, well, you're missing out.
4. Anne Taintor.
5. Jelly beans.
6. Drawing with charcoal. It's messy and expressive and it makes me unbelievably happy.
7. My Canon Digital Rebel. I am seriously in love with my camera, which is why 55% of this blog consists of pictures.
Now, I hereby bestow this award on the following 7 bloggers:
1. Gwendomama : She's witty and poignant and insanely funny.
2. Gee-ville Deals : A brilliant money-saver's blog written by my thrifty and funny friend Brenda. Seriously, just because she's writing about coupons does not mean it isn't funny.
3. Mama Daisy: She lives with boys like I do. And? She shares my addiction to LOLCats. And? We're friends in real life.
4. Snarkland: Written by my friend Lorena, who suffers from a serious addiction to knitting. She has made some beautiful things, including one of my favorite pairs of socks. Oh, and she owns the coolest yarn shop in town.
5. LetterB: I won last year's Kentucky Derby contest. She sent me some fabulous souvenier glasses. I miss when she used to post more often.
6. Princess Toadstool: My witty and hilarious little sister.
7. The Shape of A Mother: Someone should have done this years ago.
I LOVE Ben Folds too! And The Soup! And I am so jealous of your fancy camera!
I don't know why I needed to use so many exclamation points.

Congratulations! You do rule. And I always laugh when I stop by your site. (Side note - Joshua pooped in the bath the other day and I thought of you.)

Roal Dahl was responsible for my oldest child going from "is my 10 minutes of reading up?" to "just a second, let me finish this chapter." I'm partial to Danny Champion of the World. Did you know he has a collection of adult short stories?
Ben. Yeah. Ben.
Anyhow, thanks! You are indeed Kreativ.
